About Me

A few things about myself...

Corey Hammond

Bio

I developed a love for creating software applications 7 years ago when I stumbled upon a "Java for Beginners" tutorial on YouTube. Through years of independent practice and structured learning programs, I have acquired skills in full-stack software engineering including HTML, CSS, Javascript, Python and Java. With over a decade of experience in management and technical roles, I am confident that I can utilize my problem solving skills in a professional environment. My inquisitive nature drives me to continuously learn and to seek innovative solutions to common challenges. My goal is to pair my skills in software development and data science with management and team leadership and create solutions that meet organizational and client needs.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, watching developer YouTube videos, hiking, painting miniatures, and watching football.

Taipei, Taiwan

Business English Instructor

I spent 3 years in Taipei, Taiwan where I taught Business English to professionals that had little to no English speaking experience. This incredible adventure exposed me to different cultures and taught me much about myself. Similar to learning a new technology language, I learned how to teach and communicate in this environment by thinking outside of the box and creating innovative ways to deliver content.
